Intaglio is a family of printmaking techniques in which the image is incised into a surface, ink is applied to the surface and then rubbed with tarlatan cloth to remove most of the excess.

Open Access sessions run every Wednesday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday from 10am to 4pm.

These sessions provide independent artists with access to the Printroom’s facilities and equipment, along with on site technical support. Open Access is designed for those who already have some printmaking experience and are comfortable working independently.

It is an opportunity to develop work, experiment with new techniques and be part of a creative studio environment.
